Lead Data Scientist

The incumbent is responsible for the collection and organization of data, having a grasp of both the technical and business sides of data science. The incumbent should oversee the collection, storage, integration, and maintenance of Human Resource (HR) related data and develop data strategies that align with the overall HR digitalization and application implementation goals.

Reports to: 
Project Manager Data Quality
Supervision given to: 
Database Administrator
Duties and Responsibilities: 
  1. Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including Information Technology (IT) professionals, domain experts, and project stakeholders to understand the domain in which the project operates and effectively apply data science techniques
  1. Develops strategies for managing HR data that aligns with the broader goals of HR digitalization and application implementation
  1. Oversees the entire data lifecycle including, collection, storage, integration, and maintenance of HR related data
  1. Designs and implements data management processes, including data collection, cleaning, transformation, and storage
  1. Develops and implements strategies to integrate diverse data sources, ensuring that data aligns with the project's goals and objectives
  1. Establishes and enforces measures to ensure the quality, accuracy and security of data
  1. Advises on how data can be leveraged to enhance HR processes, HR functions and decision making
  1. Performs other related duties as required
Minimum Experience and Training: 

1. Eight to Ten (8-10) years’ experience working with project teams in a high quality data driven environment.

2. Four to Five (4-5) years’ operating at a supervisory level.

3. Demonstrated experience in the collection, storage and maintenance of data, for use in a business environment.

4. Demonstrated knowledge of HR business processes.

Knowledge: 

1.Bachelor Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Management or Social Science, from a recognised and accredited University.

2.Specialized certification in Data Science or Data Management would be an asset.

3.Post graduate qualifications would be an asset.
